Chiffon is a type of sheer, thin silk. The fabric is very light and floaty and will not hold a shape at all. This type of fabric is good for painting free flowing and blended colours. You can apply gutta or resist but it is not an ideal fabric because the weave is so loose. Chiffon fabric is compatible with silk paints but it is recommended to use with silk dyes. Chiffon is ideal for use with nuno felting. All chiffon silk scarves are 3.5mm weight and 100% silk. The edges are hand-finished.
