DUPONT DYES

H.DUPONT dyes have existed for more than a century, and provide effective, safe and convenient dyes in a wide range of colours for both silk and wool. The highly concentrated H.DUPONT CLASSIC dyes are water-based and environmentally friendly.

The dyes can be used at full strength or diluted, and can be mixed together in order to obtain additional colours. They are versatile and effective with all the application techniques : Gutta, Batik, Thickener, Salt effect, Watercolour technique, Silk Screening, Airbrushing, and more. It is highly recommended that the bottles be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

The H.DUPONT CLASSIQUE dyes are best applied onto pure silk. For best results, pre-washing the silk with a mild soap in lukewarm water and rising well is recommended. This will eliminate unwanted residues on the silk that may interfere with the application of the dyes. Dry the silk before applying resists. Colours develop their brilliance on silk after steam-fixing for a period of 2 to 4 hours, according to the material. Longer for darker colours also.

We don't carry every colour in the line but the ones we carry do cover a good spectrum from which you can create a larger palette or use straight.
